Cloud services can be sourced and accessed entirely remotely or deployed as an on-premise service - but these solutions do not avoid all the normal rules of IT services.

Deploying internet based office systems and email does not remove the demand for local systems and local copies of data. Moving core systems to the internet does not remove the network demands to access those systems.

Sharing systems within your organisation across new boundaries or with other organisations in shared service offering such as Microsoft 365 inevitably brings conflict and compromise for business users.
